With iPhones and editing apps, anyone can point, click, and shoot a photo within a moments notice. But what makes a photo declare its true essence? For me it is when I put #Blessed under it. Then you know it’s serious.
Capturing a moment that can give you all the feels is extremely hard, and is a hidden talent that not a lot of people posses. Dayton Art Institute’s new exhibit “Ravaged Sublime: Landscape Photography in the 21st Century” does just that.
The vibrant photos depict moments that are simply overlooked by the human eye. An eclectic grouping of hues are composed to fulfill its number one goal: to evoke pure human emotion from its viewer.
The video above gives you only a taste of Ravaged Sublime. I was able to attend the exhibit as a part of the Dayton Art Institute’s “Social Media Night,” and I highly encourage you to attend this exhibit. The photos were breathtaking and left me wanting more.
